UNICEF is seeking an consultant to conduct a comprehensive Behavioral and Social Drivers (BeSD) assessment to identify the individual, interpersonal, community, institutional and policy-level factors influencing early learning, school readiness and girls’ education in South Sudan. The purpose of the study is to understand the influencing factors (barriers, biases, and enablers) related to girls’ education and early learning. The study will generate actionable quantitative and qualitative evidence to inform the development of a national Social and Behavior Change (SBC) Strategy and implementation framework aimed at increasing demand for Early Childhood Education (ECE), strengthening caregiver and community engagement, promoting positive gender and social norms that support girls’ education and early learning, and improving equitable access, participation, retention, and learning outcomes for all children in the targeted states.
