About · the independent index
The complete map of careers that change the world.
changemaker is an independent index of every live vacancy at the world's international organizations — the UN system, development banks, EU institutions, IGOs and INGOs — aggregated from official sources and linked straight to the employer's own application. No middlemen, no recruiter fees, and never a charge for candidates to apply.

Methodology
How the index is built
Every listing is machine-collected from a source we can name and you can verify — an organization's own careers portal or its official applicant-tracking system. We publish the full source list, with live counts and last-checked times, and we show the sources that are currently failing rather than hiding them.
Official sources only
We never scrape aggregators or job boards. A vacancy appears here only if we can trace it to the hiring organization's own site, so the details you read are the details the employer published.
Checked several times a day
An automated pipeline re-reads every source on a rolling three-hour cycle, adds new postings, and retires vacancies the moment the organization takes them down — so the board reflects what is genuinely open right now.
Deep-linked, not re-hosted
Every “Apply” button goes to the employer's official application. We are an index, not an intermediary: we don't collect your application, take a cut, or stand between you and the organization.
The jobs index is free, forever
Searching, filtering, saving searches and setting job alerts are free and always will be — no account needed for alerts, and never a fee to apply. Membership pays for your own portfolio page and the video that goes with it; nothing about finding a job here is behind it.
Editorial standards
Guides you can act on, kept current
Alongside the board we publish field guides on how international hiring actually works — grades and contracts, competency interviews, salary scales, the Personal History Profile. They are written and maintained by the changemaker editorial team, carry a visible last-updated date, and point to the primary source (the ICSC, an organization's own rules) rather than asking you to take our word for it.
- We cite and link the authoritative source for every rule or number.
- We date each guide and revise it when the underlying policy changes.
- We flag what we can't verify instead of guessing.
- We keep a job-scam warning guide because candidate safety comes first.
Who's behind it
Independent, and built by people who've done the search
changemaker is an independent product, not affiliated with the United Nations or any organization it lists. We built it because finding these jobs meant checking dozens of portals by hand, and because the people who do this work — in humanitarian response, development, human rights, global health — deserve a straight path to it. If a listing looks wrong, or a source is missing, tell us and we'll fix it.
