Child Protection Specialist, NO-3, Fixed Term Position, #15919, Colombo, Sri Lanka, Asia Pacific Region (APR)- Sri Lankan nationals only

Join our team as a Child Protection Specialist and play a key role in advancing UNICEF’s efforts to protect children from violence, abuse, exploitation, neglect, and all forms of harm. Reporting to the Chief of Child Protection, the position supports the development, implementation, monitoring, evaluation, and reporting of child protection programmes and projects, ensuring the delivery of high-quality, evidence-based interventions that strengthen child protection systems and services. Working closely with government counterparts, partners, and stakeholders, the Specialist provides technical guidance and programme management support throughout the programming cycle. The role contributes to national and international efforts to create a protective environment for children and uphold their rights to survival, development, protection, and well-being in line with the Convention on the Rights of the Child and other international frameworks. The Specialist applies Results-Based Management (RBM) approaches to support effective programme planning, implementation, and accountability, contributing to the achievement of UNICEF’s Strategic Plan priorities and measurable results for children.
