The Association for Community Awareness (ASCOA) is organizing the landmark Africa Marine Litter and Plastic Pollution Conference. Centered on the theme “Uniting Africa for Ocean Protection & Marine Litter Solutions,” this continental event brings together policymakers, scientists, private-sector leaders, civil society, and youth champions.
To maximize regional and international visibility, drive multi-stakeholder engagement, and effectively broadcast live sessions, ASCOA seeks a dedicated cohort of 10 online UN Volunteers specializing in communication, digital outreach, and social media management.
Selected volunteers will work closely with ASCOA’s Communications, Media, and Public Relations Committee to execute the conference’s outreach strategy. Key responsibilities include managing social media and campaigns, creating content and writing copy, engaging the community, monitoring digital channels, and managing the newsletter.
