The United Nations Common Back Office (UN CBO) Brazil is a flagship initiative under the UN Development System Reform and the UN Efficiency Agenda, designed to provide high-quality shared operational services to UN entities in Brazil. Hosted by UNDP Brazil, the UN CBO currently provides services in areas such as Administration, ICT, Procurement, Travel, Human Resources, and Protocol, promoting greater efficiency, collaboration, and the "One UN" approach.
As the UN CBO continues to expand its services, engagement, and communication with UN entities and stakeholders, there is a growing need to strengthen its visual identity and digital presence. A consistent and professional visual identity will help increase recognition of the CBO, reinforce its institutional positioning, and communicate its services, achievements, and value proposition more effectively.
As part of this effort, the UN CBO is developing a dedicated SharePoint website to serve as a central digital platform for its stakeholders. The website is expected to provide clear and accessible information about the CBO, its services, communication materials, results, and other relevant resources, while offering a coherent user experience aligned with the CBO's visual identity.
The Online Volunteer will therefore contribute to the development of a cohesive visual and digital identity for the UN CBO, combining graphic design, visual communication, information architecture, user experience, and SharePoint implementation. The resulting materials and digital solutions will support the CBO in establishing a recognizable, user-friendly, and consistent communication presence across its website and institutional communication channels.

We are looking for one Online Volunteer to support the United Nations Common Back Office (UN CBO) Brazil in strengthening its communication channels and digital presence. Under the supervision of the UN CBO Client Management Analyst, the Online Volunteer will support the development of the UN CBO's visual identity, communication products, and website structure and design, ensuring a consistent, professional, user-friendly, and visually engaging digital experience.

The Online Volunteer will be expected to:
i. Develop the information architecture and site map of the UN CBO website, defining the overall site structure, navigation, main sections, page hierarchy, and organization of content according to the needs of the CBO and its target audiences;
ii. Develop wireframes and mock-ups for the main website pages, illustrating the proposed page structure, content organization, navigation, and visual layout, including two or three key website pages as agreed with the focal point;
iii. Translate the approved architecture and design into a SharePoint-based website structure, supporting the configuration of the main pages, navigation, layouts, and available SharePoint web parts, as appropriate;
iv. Revise and finalize the proposed website architecture, wireframes, mock-ups, and SharePoint structure based on feedback from the focal point.

The assignment is expected to combine graphic design, visual identity, user experience/information architecture, and practical SharePoint implementation. The selected Online Volunteer should therefore have an interest or demonstrated experience in one or more of these areas, with knowledge of SharePoint considered an asset.
All materials should be developed in accordance with the corporate branding and visual identity guidelines, which will be shared with the selected Online Volunteer before the assignment begins.
