To provide time-bound strategic, technical and operational consultancy support to UNICEF Ghana and government partners for the planning, design, configuration, implementation monitoring, evidence generation and scale-up of Ghana’s Digital Education Programme. The consultant will support the responsible use of Google-powered Gemini AI to operationalize an AI-enabled Teaching and Learning Companion for teacher professional development, foundational learning improvement and education system strengthening. The assignment will contribute to improving teacher capacity, strengthening pre-service and in-service teacher professional development, supporting implementation in selected Colleges of Education and districts, and generating evidence to inform national scale-up. The consultancy will be deliverables-based and will support UNICEF Ghana’s collaboration with the Ministry of Education, Ghana Education Service, CENDLOS, National Teaching Council, Colleges of Education, selected districts and other partners in alignment with UNICEF’s Digital Education Strategy and national education priorities.
