Relief Applications is a humanitarian tech company headquartered in Toulouse, France. We build digital tools with and for NGOs, UN agencies and mission-driven organisations, bringing solutions to those changing the world.

We are growing our ERP offer for NGOs: Finance, Procurement and HR modules designed for how humanitarian organisations actually work.

About the role

You will be the business brain of the project. Working side by side with our project manager, you will turn NGOs’ finance, procurement and HR needs into features.

Your work makes our ERP stronger with every deployment and decides whether client teams adopt it. You will run workshops with them, shape the workflows, test what is built and train the users. Occasional travel to clients is expected.

Key responsibilities

Requirements & functional design

  • Co-run user-requirement workshops with client Finance, Procurement and HR teams
  • Write clear user stories, workflows and acceptance criteria
  • Own the functional design of the Finance, Procurement and HR modules: approval chains, budgets and cost codes, data model and reporting
  • Flag early when deeper expertise is needed, such as local payroll or HR law

Building & testing

  • Prototype and ship features, screens and fixes with AI-supported tools (Claude, Cursor or similar)
  • Work through Git with the tech lead and developers, who review your code
  • Test features against real NGO scenarios and run user acceptance testing with clients

Adoption

  • Review and complete user guides
  • Design and deliver trainings for finance, procurement and HR users
  • Collect feedback after go-live and turn it into improvements

Candidate profile

Additional assets

  • Previous ERP implementation or rollout (Sage, Dynamics, Odoo, SunSystems…)
  • Experience with charity finance across several countries
  • MEAL or logframe exposure
  • Training and documentation experience

Experience

  • 3–5+ years in NGO or humanitarian operations, ideally in finance, grants or procurement
  • Solid working knowledge of donor rules, budget lines, cost codes, purchase-to-pay flows and grant reporting
  • Hands-on experience building with AI

Languages

  • Fluent English; French is a plus

Skills

  • Business analysis: running workshops, mapping processes, writing user stories
  • Comfortable with Git, reading code, and basic data and SQL
  • Able to turn rules into working features

Soft skills

  • Autonomous and pragmatic
  • Confident facing a client’s team
  • Honest about what you know and what you don’t
  • Program/Project Management
