  1. Role and responsibilities

The purpose of a Logistic Technical Assistant is to assist in the day-to-day implementation of the logistic function’s responsibility.  

Generic responsibilities 

 

  1. Adhere to NRC policies, handbooks, guidelines, and donor requirements
  2. Assist with the implementation of the logistic function’s portfolio according to Plan of Action
  3. Provide logistic administration and basic support   
  4. Ensure proper filing of all support documents
  5. Assist in the planning and delivery of logistic activity
  6. Maintain logistic records, assets and equipment
  7. Promote and share ideas for improvement of the logistic function
  8. Perform other duties, as assigned by Line Manager
  9. Contribute to implementation of Safe and Inclusive Programming Minimum Standards across your area of work.

 

 

 

Specific responsibilities 

  1. Provide support to the Logistics Coordinator CO maintain the asset register of the NRC Palestine CO, with complete information and share the reports with management regularly. 

  2. Provide support to the Procurement Coordinator CO with procurement tracking and follow up, drafting RFQs for small procurement, payment submission and archiving of Logistics supporting documents.

  3. Coordinate with the logistics and IT team to receive newly purchased items and assets from suppliers as per requisitions/samples, issue asset tags as needed, and deliver/dispatch those to the concerned persons/locations and maintain the record accordingly.

  4. Prepare GRNs, and Waybills and maintain their filing as per the NRC filing standards for Assets.

  5. Coordinate with ICT and procurement for Assets' repair and maintenance. 

  6. Prepare and submit monthly annual reports to the logistics coordinator for assets

  7. Focal Point for Asset Annual Physical Check for the CO

  8. Focal Point for receiving loss and damage reports on assets from staff members

  9. Documentation and archiving of all supporting documents related to assets

  10. Provide support as needed with payment submissions for Logs department

  • Coordinate closely with Program and Support Departments for fleet and assets

These are skills, knowledge, qualifications and experience that are important for effective performance. 

 

Generic professional competencies

  • Basic experience from working as a function officer in a humanitarian/recovery context
  • Previous experience from working in complex and volatile contexts 

 

Context related skills, knowledge and experience

 

  • Fluency in Arabic, both written and verbal
  • Good knowledge of Hebrew language is preferable 
  • Good knowledge of procurement and asset management needs in an INGO context
  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Ability to work under pressure
  • Valid driver’s license
