Each team will develop a playable prototype during the 4-week capstone project development phase. The process is designed to simulate a real game production cycle, offering hands-on experience in design, iteration, teamwork, and presentation. Mentors will play a key role in supporting participants as they bring their ideas to life and prepare for the Demo Day.

UNDP is seeking 16 online volunteers with game industry experience to serve as mentors for bootcamp participants during the 2-week capstone project development period. Mentors will be paired with small teams and are expected to provide strategic, creative, and motivational guidance throughout the bootcamp.

As a mentor, you will:

Support your assigned teams during the entire capstone development phase, helping them refine their game concepts and define project scope.

Provide constructive feedback on design choices, gameplay mechanics, visual style, and storytelling.

Help troubleshoot common challenges related to teamwork, time management, and technical execution.

Recommend tools, tutorials, or frameworks that may support the team’s work.

Offer career mentorship, sharing insights about job roles, portfolios, and industry entry points.

Encourage iteration and user-centered thinking throughout the development process.

Mentorship is expected to require 1–2 hours per week maximum, with flexibility on how this is delivered (via short virtual meetings, written feedback, or chat-based support).
