SOLIDARITES INTERNATIONAL (SI) is an international humanitarian aid association which, since more than 40 years, has been providing assistance to populations affected by armed conflicts and natural disasters by meeting their basic needs for food, water and shelter. Particularly committed to the fight against diseases linked to unsafe water, the leading cause of death in the world, SI's interventions provide expertise in the field of access to drinking water, sanitation and hygiene promotion, but also in the essential area of food security and livelihoods. Present in 26 countries, the SI teams – 3200 people in total, made up of expatriates, national staff, permanent staff at HQ, and a few volunteers - intervene with professionalism and commitment while respecting cultural norms.

About the mission

Following the outbreak of the conflict in April 2023 and forced evacuation of Khartoum and West Darfur (El Geneina), SI was one of the first international NGO to re-enter Darfur and resume its emergency response.
In February 2024, SI opened a base in North Darfur to provide emergency assistance to populations, as very few humanitarian organizations were operational in the state. Similarly, SI opened an office in Zalingei, Central Darfur in November 2024 and East Darfur and West Kordofan in early 2026. In addition an office in Khartoum was maintained and in 2025 operations were opened in Jazeera state. Today, thanks to the support of SHF, CDCS, SDC, GFFO, SIDA, ECHO and BHA, activities are being implemented in West Darfur, Central Darfur, North Darfur, East Darfur, West Kordofan, Jazeera and Khartoum States across WASH, Shelter and NFI support, Food Security and Livelihood sectors.
Across the Darfurs, the main share of the portfolio remains WASH with the provision of water through water trucking, rehabilitation of water points/water yards, borehole drilling, hygiene promotion, sanitation (emergency latrine construction, semi-permanent latrine, showers, desludging), solid waste management, WASH NFI distribution, and WASH in Health etc. In the East the focus is on rehabilitation and recovery of water systems as well as emergency WASH interventions for health crises. Besides, SI implements food assistance mostly through cash and voucher modalities. West and North Darfur team also implements agricultural support activities (seeds distribution, provision of tools, training) as well as market strengthening support.
SI also has an Emergency Response Team based in Zalingei, Central Darfur, roving across Central and West Darfur, implementing rapid responses in WASH, Shelter/NFI and Food (CVA) as well as in North Darfur.
In North Darfur, SI was one first to intervene and are presently a leader in WASH response. The FSL work has brought in some great result in North Darfur.
Recently, we opened our new base in Al Dein in East Darfur and West Kordofan. The teams are already working on strong WASH response along with some critical Cash response. The team is currently assessing and opening new areas in Kordofans.
In the Eastern part of the country, SI is present with Wash and FSL activities in Khartoum and Jazeera, under ECHO, CDCS, and SHF.
Most of the programs are being implemented in Consortium, 2 led by SI, and require strong coordination efforts to provide area-based interventions. SI also has a strong localization approach, with diverse local partners in all states.

About the job

General objective:

Responsible for planning, coordinating, and managing all logistics activities related to the core pipeline operations. The role ensures the timely, safe, efficient, and cost-effective movement, storage, handling, and delivery of pipeline materials, equipment, and related resources from suppliers and storage locations to project sites.

The position will coordinate closely with procurement, project management, construction, warehouse, transportation, HSE, contractors, and suppliers to ensure that all required materials and equipment are available at the right location (Hubs), at the right time, and in accordance with project specifications and schedules.

The main challenges:

challenges related to supply availability, limited market capacity, long and unpredictable transportation routes, access constraints and changing operational needs. The Logistics Pipeline Manager must ensure timely replenishment and delivery of supplies while maintaining accurate stock management, coordination between multiple field locations and compliance with SI and SHF procedures.

Priorities for the 2/3 first months:

1-Establish and operationalize the pipeline logistics structure, tools and workflows.
2-Set up effective stock management, tracking, replenishment and reporting mechanisms.
3-Coordinate initial procurement, transportation, warehousing and pre-positioning of pipeline supplies.
4-Ensure smooth handover and coordination with the Supply Chain Specialist and relevant field teams.

Security constraints:

The position requires close monitoring of the security context and regular coordination with relevant teams to adapt transportation, delivery and supply plans accordingly.

Your profile

DIPLOMAS AND EXPERIENCE

Bachelor or Masters degree in related field

Experience in the humanitarian sector : 3 years

Experience on a similar position : 3 years

SKILLS

TECHNICAL SKILLS

1-Strong knowledge of supply chain and logistics management, including procurement, transportation, warehousing and stock management.
2-Experience in pipeline and inventory planning, forecasting and replenishment.
3-Strong understanding of international freight and last-mile delivery operations.
4-Ability to establish and use logistics tracking, reporting and stock management tools.
5-Good knowledge of donor compliance and humanitarian logistics procedures.
6-Strong analytical, planning and coordination skills.

TRANSVERSAL SKILLS

1. excellent communication skills

2. Strong ability to take initiative, coordinate and collaborate with other Logistics/WASH actors and local partners.

3. Team leadership and ability to enforce respect of humanitarian principles and SI policies

SI will offer you

A salaried position:
According to experience, starting from EUR 2310 gross per month (2100 base salary + 10% annual leave allowance paid monthly) and a monthly Per Diem of USD 750.

SI also covers accommodation costs and travel expenses between the expatriate's country of origin and the place of assignment.

Breaks: During the assignment, a system of alternation between work and time off is implemented at the rate of 7 working days every three months (with a USD 850 break allowance, allocated by Sl). To these breaks periods, SI grants one (1) additional rest day per month worked.

Insurance package: Expatriates benefit from an insurance package which refunds all healthcare expenses (including medical and surgical expenses, dental care and ophthalmological expenses, repatriation) and a welfare system including war risks. Essential vaccination and antimalarial treatment costs are refunded.

Living conditions in ndjamena are very good with an easy access to a wide range of restaurants, cafes...

Security risks are low, and restrictions are very limited.

However, when going on the field bases, living conditions are more basic, with fewer opportunities for socialization, as well as some individual movements’ restrictions. Security levels vary according to the different geographical locations and changes of context.
