The Climate Change and Urban Environment Section produces reports, policy briefs, technical publications and digital communications materials presenting research, evidence, data and practical knowledge on urban climate action.

The Online Volunteer will support the team in translating technical content into clear, accessible and engaging visual products. This will help stakeholders understand and use evidence to inform their own policies, programmes and decisions and contribute to accelerating local climate action.

We are looking for an Online Volunteer to support the design and production of selected publications and related visual communications materials.

Under the guidance of the section head of the Climate Change and Urban Environment section (CCUE-S) in coordination with the design focal point, the Online Volunteer will:
• Develop visual concepts and layouts for selected reports, policy briefs or other knowledge products.
• Design and format publication content in accordance with UN-Habitat and relevant partner branding requirements.
• Produce or format agreed charts, infographics, illustrations and other visual elements based on information provided by the project team.
• Support limited copy-editing of captions, headings and short explanatory text.
• Incorporate consolidated feedback and prepare final digital and editable source files.

The expected deliverable is a completed package of agreed publications and related visual communications materials, submitted electronically within the 12-week assignment period. The exact products, deadlines and formats will be agreed with the selected Online Volunteer at the beginning of the assignment.
