Many young people actively contribute to community development and social initiatives but lack access to professional mentors, career guidance, and networks that could help them advance their careers.

Through the « Mate Swell » movement, hosted by the Centre international de formation en droits humains et développement durable (CIFDH/DD), the organization seeks to bridge this gap by connecting young participants with experienced professionals across different sectors and countries.

The initiative aims to recruit 20 established professionals who can share their expertise, provide personalized mentoring, and facilitate access to relevant opportunities through their professional knowledge, networks, and institutional relationships.

Each volunteer will be assigned a group of 10 participants, resulting in a total of 200 young people benefiting from professional guidance and development support.

The initiative goes beyond training by encouraging practical career development, professional networking, and connections to opportunities that can help participants achieve their educational, professional, and leadership goals.

We are seeking 20 experienced professionals, experts, managers, entrepreneurs, academics, and institutional leaders to support the professional development of 200 participants involved in Mate Swell and CIFDH/DD activities.

Under the supervision of the CIFDH/DD Executive Bureau, each volunteer will mentor 10 participants and contribute to the following activities:

1. Professional Training and Knowledge Sharing
- Deliver practical online training sessions in their area of expertise.
- Share professional experience, industry knowledge, and relevant tools.
- Help participants develop practical skills and strengthen their professional competencies.

2. Mentoring and Career Guidance
- Provide individual or group mentoring to 10 assigned participants.
- Help participants identify career goals, strengths, and areas for improvement.
- Guide them in preparing CVs, cover letters, interviews, and professional applications.
- Provide constructive feedback and follow up on their progress.

3. Identification of Opportunities
- Identify relevant scholarships, fellowships, internships, jobs, training programmes, grants, and leadership opportunities.
- Share verified opportunities with participants according to their profiles and career objectives.
- Guide participants through eligibility requirements and application procedures.

4. Professional Networking and Opportunity Facilitation
- Use relevant professional networks and institutional relationships to connect participants with potential opportunities.
- Facilitate introductions to professionals, organizations, employers, academic institutions, and other relevant stakeholders where feasible.
- Explore partnerships and initiatives that could benefit participants’ professional development.

5. Participant Development and Follow-up
- Support participants in developing realistic personal and professional development plans.
- Encourage them to apply for relevant opportunities and put their newly acquired skills into practice.
- Monitor progress and provide feedback throughout the assignment.

6. Reporting and Evaluation
- Maintain records of mentoring sessions, training activities, and participant progress.
- Document opportunities identified, applications supported, and professional connections facilitated.
- Submit a final report highlighting achievements, challenges, and recommendations.

Volunteers will receive orientation and relevant guidelines from CIFDH/DD to ensure a coordinated mentoring approach and effective support for all participants.
