Translation of UNV E-Campus Modules from English to Lao

This Online Volunteer assignment involves translating three mandatory UN courses into Lao. These courses are required for all new UN Volunteers and cover essential topics related to safety, ethical conduct, and the rights and responsibilities of UN personnel.

This assignment offers an opportunity to strengthen your translation skills, gain international experience working with the UN, and contribute to the onboarding process for UN Volunteers in Laos.

Your contribution as an Online Volunteer will improve language accessibility, particularly for National Community Volunteers, enabling them to access and complete these mandatory courses in Lao. Upon successful completion of the assignment, the Online Volunteer will receive an official certificate recognizing your contribution from UNV.

We are seeking 2 Online Volunteers to support the translation of UN Volunteer's mandatory courses for new volunteers, from English to Lao including:
1 ) BSafe,
2) Prevention of sexual exploitation and abuse of the local population (PSEA)
3) Prevention of harassment, sexual harassment and abuse of authority

The selected Online Volunteers will receive Word documents containing the English text and images from each mandatory course. They will be responsible for translating all course content into Lao and formatting the translated Word documents to ensure that the content is clear, well-organized, and easy to read.

The final translated documents should accurately reflect the original course content while using accessible and easy-to-understand Lao language. Volunteers may also be required to maintain the placement and formatting of images and other visual elements from the original materials.
