In its Resolution A/RES/72/279, the United Nations General Assembly endorsed the transformation of the Development Coordination Office (DCO) as a stand-alone coordination office within the United Nations Secretariat. DCO assumes managerial and oversight functions of the Resident Coordinator system under the collective ownership of the members of UNSDG.

This position is in the Communications and Results Reporting Section (CRRS) of DCO. Under the leadership of the Digital Strategist, the incumbent reports directly to the Communications Officer and works closely with the Communications Consultant responsible for the multilingual editorial content of the website www.unsdg.un.org, as well as with other members of the digital team, as necessary.

We are looking for two online volunteers.

The first online volunteer will:

• Support populating the French language version(s) of the UNSDG global website by uploading content and translating pages on the UNSDG global website from English to French (and vice versa as needed).

The second online volunteer will:

• Collect, translate and review global and country-level stories that showcase collaboration between UNSDG members, agencies, funds and programmes for amplification on the UNSDG digital channels.
The stories are typically approximately one and a half pages long, and the average workload is one story per week.
