Scope of Potential Assignments

Depending on the requirements of individual assignments, selected experts may contribute to:

Required Qualifications and Experience

Candidates should demonstrate:

• A university degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, GIS, Geoinformatics, Data Science, Cybersecurity or another relevant discipline, or equivalent professional experience.
• At least five years of relevant experience for specialist roles. Senior expert and team leadership positions may require seven to ten years or more.
• Demonstrated experience delivering relevant technical assignments, preferably for institutional or international clients.
• Strong technical expertise and practical knowledge of the relevant technologies, tools and frameworks.
• Ability to produce high-quality technical documentation and deliver agreed outputs within project timelines.
• Experience working with UN agencies, international NGOs, development institutions, government entities or public-sector organisations is an advantage.
• Experience in Syria and the wider MENA region is particularly valuable for country-specific assignments.
• Professional proficiency in English. Arabic is highly desirable for Syria-based assignments.
